Personal Introduction: Lu Jiahai

Lu Jiahai is a professor of epidemiology and microbiology and a supervisor of doctoral students.

He is the Director of the Key Laboratory for Quality Monitoring and Evaluation of Vaccines and Biologics of the National Medical Products Administration, and the Dean of the One Health Research Institute of Wenzhou Medical University. He is an advocate and practitioner of "One Health" in China, one of the initiators and executive chairmen of the 697th Xiangshan Science Conference, the Chief Scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, an adjunct professor at the State University of New York in the United States and Edith Cowan University in Australia, and one of the leading figures in the innovation and leadership of the health industry in the 21st century in 2023.

In the past five years, he has presided over the National Key Research and Development Program, Guangdong Province's docking with national major special projects, and key research and development projects in Guangdong Province, with research funding of more than 40 million yuan. He has published more than 400 papers, including more than 100 high-level papers, applied for more than 20 patents, and edited or participated in editing more than 10 monographs and textbooks. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was invited for exclusive interviews by Nature and Science magazines several times to discuss the prevention and control strategies of the COVID-19 pandemic.
